I don't like the shorter days but I am ready for fall.

The president of the fire dept is stepping down at the end of the year.  We are short on people.  And money.

    I need new hiking boots.

    ***********************

The trees I planted in 2006 really took off this year despite the lack of rain.

I watched - as much as I could - both political conventions on C-Span.

My company hired Frank Culbertson.  He is the only American who was not on the planet on 9/11.  He was on the International Space Station.  We had a group lunch with him and that was fun.  He is a great speaker.

Here's hoping the US dollar continues to strengthen.

I hope the rain doesn't wash out the river party this weekend.

  • A river party sounds like fun.  Better get those hiking boots if it rains!

    Have a nice weekend.  ~Colleen

  • The party was much fun! Another one in a few weeks.

  • Glad you had fun at the River Party.Did you take pictures? Our town party was rained out on Saturday-it poured here. My son was home all weekend. His wife was at the beach with her friends so he came home. It was nice having him here. He will be moving into his new home on Sept.27th and then he will be further away. He will be close to Lancaster (that's were he works)This coming weekend I have to doggie sit his dog while he goes to the beach with his wife. That means I will have three big dogs in my house. And his dog is still a puppy even though she's as big as my dogs. And she is full of energy! I'll have my hands full.

  • I do have some pics but nothing worth sharing.

My mom has a new puppy and I hear it's quite the handful. They usually are. Good luck!
